The Guangxi Division Finals of the 19th iCAN International Contest of Innovation Held at GXU

From October 25 to 26, the Guangxi Division finals of the 19th iCAN International Contest of Innovation were successfully held at GXU.

The finals were co-hosted by the Guangxi Higher Education Society, the Guangxi Institute of Industrial Technology, the Teaching Steering Committee for Electrical Engineering and Automation in Guangxi Undergraduate Universities, and the Organizing Committee of the iCAN International Contest of Innovation. It was jointly organized by Guangxi University and Guilin University of Technology at Nanning. The competition projects covered several cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and biomedicine, with application-oriented innovation as the core evaluation criterion. The judging process included on-site demonstrations, project roadshows, expert Q&A, and live scoring, allowing experts to comprehensively assess the overall strength of each project. This marked the inaugural competition of the Guangxi Division, attracting 329 teams from 37 universities across the region. A total of 78 projects advanced to the offline finals. Among them, 10 projects from GXU reached the finals, and after intense competition, 3 projects were recommended for advancement to the national finals.

Representatives from the Student Affairs Office, the Communist Youth League Committee, the Office of Academic Affairs, School of Computer and Electronic Information, School of Business, the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Professional Committee of the Guangxi Higher Education Society, and other participating institutions attended the event .
