On October 23, Mr.Thongchai Yenprasent, Chairman of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization of Thailand, led a 44-member education delegation to visit our university, participating in the China-Thailand Education Exchange Event hosted by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region at GXU. Attendees included Miss. Issaya Sathornsantikul, Vice Chairman of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization; Miss. Nataraporn Pichayagorn, Director of the Nonthaburi Provincial Education Office; Mr. Pan Xuyang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Mr. Xiao Jianzhuang, Vice President of GXU; Mr. Gao Xingyu, Vice President of Guangxi University for Nationalities; Miss. Long Nina, Vice President of Nanning Normal University; and others.

Pan Xuyang introduced Guangxi's achievements in ASEAN education cooperation and put forward a series of suggestions for deepening China-Thailand education collaboration. He expressed hope that both sides would promote AI-enabled education cooperation, conduct joint cultivation programs focused on AI majors, and further deepen cooperation in areas such as Chinese language education and basic education; facilitate the establishment of sister schools between Guangxi and Nonthaburi at the basic education level and carry out teacher exchange visits; explore integrated development paths for higher education, and support universities from both sides in deepening cooperation in key disciplines such as medicine, agriculture, and engineering, working together to advance China-Thailand education cooperation to a new level.

Thongchai Yenprasert stated that signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region marks a significant step in deepening Thailand-China educational relations. Both sides will cooperate in areas including teacher and student exchanges, cultivation of educational talent, curriculum and teaching development, and joint academic research, creating opportunities for cultural and language learning for the youth of both countries and laying a solid foundation for friendship and cooperation. The Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization will fully promote the implementation of the cooperation, including establishing internship bases in local schools, providing employment opportunities for Guangxi university graduates to serve as Chinese language teachers in Thailand, jointly establishing language training programs and youth summer camps, and building convenient platforms for Thai students to pursue further studies in China.
Xiao Jianzhuang stated that the year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the "Golden 50 Years" of China-Thailand friendship, making China-Thailand education exchanges particularly significant. The cooperation between Guangxi University and Thai universities has a long history and fruitful results, serving as a vivid epitome of China-Thailand education and cultural exchanges. Guangxi University has carried out in-depth cooperation with Thai universities in areas such as the construction of Confucius Institutes, innovatively promoting joint student cultivation programs, regular summer camps, and overseas internship programs. In the future, cooperation with the Thai side will be deepened in three aspects: joint cultivation, collaborative scientific research, and cultural exchanges, contributing to the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future.
During the signing ceremony, GXU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nonthaburi Provincial Education Office. Responsible officials from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (International Student Management Service Center) and the Academy of Science and Research of GXU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with responsible officials from the Academic Service Department of Chulalongkorn University.
The China-Thailand representatives' exchange symposium was chaired by Xiao Jianzhuang. Principal responsible officials from the University's CPC Committee Propaganda Department, the Basic Education Division of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the International Humanities Exchange Center of the Nanning Minzhu Road Primary School Education Group, and the Experimental Kindergarten of Guangxi Preschool Normal College delivered speeches successively. They detailed the achievements and experiences in cultivating international Chinese language teachers, providing references for the development of Chinese language teaching faculty in Thailand; they also shared innovative practices and development ideas in Guangxi's basic education. Issaya Sathornsantikul and other Thai school representatives actively participated in the exchanges, introducing the Thai education development situation and cooperation needs to representatives from universities, primary and secondary schools, and kindergartens in Nanning. Representatives from both sides highly affirmed the outcomes of this exchange event and looked forward to deeper cooperation in the field of education in the future.

The Thai delegation was composed of representatives from the Nonthaburi Provincial Government, the Nonthaburi Provincial Education Office, 32 primary and secondary school principals, and Chulalongkorn University. During their exchange activities at our university, the Thai delegation conducted field visits to the Engineering Practice and Training Center of the School of Mechanical Engineering and the laboratories of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Teaching of the School of Electrical Engineering at our university, gaining an in-depth understanding of the construction and teaching related to intelligent manufacturing high-skilled talent training. And also the primary and secondary school student research and study practice education programs.
